NeuralHarmonics^® - Advanced technology in the science of ultrasound

NeuralHarmonics enables quick and more accurate bladder volume measurements than conventional 2-dimensional ultrasound.

In bladder volume measurements, a unique second harmonic differentiates the bladder, urine, and hypo-echogenic regions such as the uterus. This results in a better analysis, a faster answer, and a more accurate measurement from the device.

The AortaScan mode on the BVI 9600 uses VMODE^® technology. VMODE is a patented, 3-dimensional ultrasound technology from Verathon^®, designed to provide optimum accuracy and ease of use. VMODE technology works by measuring ultrasonic reflections on multiple planes inside the body to produce a 3-dimensional image. The abdominal aorta ultrasound device calculates the diameter automatically, based on the 3-dimensional image.

The advanced technology in the FloPoint Elite Uroflow System provides an accurate and convenient method to assess bladder function and urine flow. The FloSensor records and transmits patient voiding data wirelessly to the ScanPoint remote.

Key measurements provided to assess bladder function include:

• Peak flow and average flow
• Time to peak flow
• Voided volume
• Void time
• Flow pattern

This data can help determine, for example, if the patient is obstructed and requires treatment. ScanPoint image management software also enables exam data storage and provides convenient exam reports.
