• For those patients with risk factors (smoking, family history, etc.) the AortaScan AMI 9700 measures the diameter of the abdominal aorta to help physicians identify the presence of AAA

The AortaScan instrument employs patented, noninvasive VMODE^® 3D ultrasound technology to measure the diameter of the abdominal aorta.

VMODE ultrasound is easy to use and comfortable for the patient. When you press the scan button, within seconds, the VMODE technology measures ultrasonic reflections on multiple planes inside the body and produces a 3-dimensional image. Based on this image, the AortaScan device calculates and displays the abdominal aortic diameter. Four quick measurements comprise the exam.
